Isaac G.D. Barcelona has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives dedication, achievements, and leadership in marketing, public service and music.
Regarded as a man with integrity, compassion, talent and professionalism, Mr. Barcelona is known for his work in many roles across many industries; however, there is one unifying factor in all his endeavors: if it makes a difference and helps others, he’s in. . He founded the Antelope Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 1997 and received the Southern California Chamber of the Year Award in 2010 by the California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce organization. In addition to his two decades of excellent work as a marketing expert, executive for several non-profit organizations and opinion columnist in English and Spanish publications, Mr. Barcelona has worked in the public sector. For 19 years, he served as an appointed public official, notably excelling as a congressional district liaison officer for Congressman Steve Knight in the 25th Congressional District in California. While in this role, he was responsible for working on military academy appointments. He worked very closely with the Naval Academy, the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force Academy and the Merchant Marine Academy. A great point of pride for Mr. Barcelona has been playing a hand in selecting the future generals and admirals that would keep the country and the world safe. In his own words, it has been “the privilege of his lifetime.” Committed to public service, Mr. Barcelona established a local Chamber of Commerce for which he has supported for several terms as president and director. In 2010, he was the recipient of a Southern California Chamber of the Year Award from the Antelope Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
One of Mr. Barcelona’s greatest passions is music. He has toured and performed as an actor, entertainer, writer and singer for more than 33 years. Influenced by his Mexican roots, he was honored in a feature entitled “Tijuana, 100 Years of Music” and he was inducted into Mexico’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Several of his noteworthy pieces of music include “Espejo De Amor” and “Amandote Amada,” which he released with Orlando Bru’s Discolando Records. He also recorded and released “Rika Y Sus Piratas” with Ricardo Ochoa and Kenny Aviles for Areola America/Pronto Records. One of his bucket list items is to record 45 original songs that he has written. In addition, he plans to publish his autobiography, which he is currently writing. In the years to come, Mr. Barcelona intends to work toward his goals while sharing his music worldwide.
