Sharon Lemond, President of Enjole Interiors, Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in home décor, retail and service.
It was during her childhood that Ms. Lemond fell in love with interior design. While originally intending to go to college for interior design, the degree ended up being too expensive for her family, so she chose to pursue a business degree with an education minor, which could go multiple ways as far as career is concerned. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Indiana State University of Evansville in 1982 and worked as a sales assistant for Merill Lynch and then as an executive assistant for Shoe Carnival. She was fortunate to spend the next few decades at home until her husband passed away. In 206, Ms. Lemond returned to the work force as the owner of Enjole Interiors, Inc. She was asked to work in this position as the leader of design approached her about opening the business. It worked out as she needed that in her life at the time and was thrilled because it was always something she wanted to do.
Enjole Interiors entails 5,000 square feet of retail space, selling furniture, accessories and art. There is a full-service design firm within the business with four designers on staff. In this venture, Ms. Lemond looks to increase the team of designers. In addition to building this company, Ms. Lemond is following another passion. In December 2019, she is opening the doors to her small plates and wine bar, Entwined, located on 303 Main Street in Evansville, Indiana.
Ms. Lemond attributes her success to her team as they are some of the most talented staff she has worked with. They are always supporting each other and empowering each other and work well together. She has fostered an environment where the customer service is white glove. She couldn’t do it without all of them. For this work, Ms. Lemond has received recognition and accolades. She was included in Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges in 1996 while she earned an associate degree in interior design at Ivy Tech Community College. Ms. Lemond has also received recognition as the Entrepreneur of the Year in Southern Indiana in 2017. She has earned the Chamber of Commerce Award and been recognized as the Small Business of the Year. She has been locally selected as the best interior design firm and has received the Platinum Award for window treatments. In addition, she was highlighted in a magazine as one of the Top 50 retail stores in the US.
